Hello! I’m Rachael, the Community Wildlife Office for ORCA & I’m pleased to tell you that the Your Seas project has just been re-launched in the North East.

Rachael - ORCA Wildlife Officer

The Your Seas project involves me engaging with schools as well as providing community groups with Dolphin Science workshops and raising the local residents awareness of the species they can see in the North Sea. I will also be coordinating the collection of sightings data from surveys onboard KING SEAWAYS. Throughout the 2015 season (March – September) I’ll be joined onboard by a Junior Wildlife Officer and students doing Internship placements.

The Marine Wildlife mini cruise (March – September) is a fantastic way for you, your family & your friends to learn more about the wildlife you can discover as you set sail across the North Sea. From wildlife presentation in the ORCA Wildlife centre to deck observations, myself or one of the ORCA team will be on hand to assist you with identifying and spotting the beautiful marine & bird wildlife that there is.

If you’re onboard KING SEAWAYS, make sure you stop by and take a look around the centre! And don’t forget that from March, I’ll be onboard to answer all of your questions, and take you out on deck to see what wildlife we can spot!
