Feeling Festive

A Magical Christmas with Disneyland® Paris

Nowhere does Christmas like Disneyland® Paris. From 11 November 2017 until 7 January 2018, the halls are decked, the stockings are hung and the presents are wrapped, all ready to celebrate the season of cheer. Santa, Scrooge McDuck and other seasonal characters will be back again, too, with meet and greets and photo opportunities. There’s even festive themed accommodation. It’s the park’s 25th birthday, too, meaning this year Christmas will be bigger and better than ever. From each individual fairy light, to the food on the menu, there’s a touch of Christmas in every corner.

A Grand Display

One of the parks most famous Christmas attributes is the luxurious tree that towers at a massive 24m. It sits right in the centre of the Town’s Square, which itself is beautifully adorned with garlands, wreaths and festive lights.

Disney’s Christmas Parade will see fantastic festive floats glide down Main Street USA, as crowds gather to watch. The Sleep Beauty castle is the backdrop for this magical event, with each turret illuminated in an icy, wintry white glow. All of your favourite characters will be there, including Mickey & Minnie, Woody & Buzz. There’ll even be dancing gingerbread men and sugar canes, bringing a ton of cheer. Watch out for snow, too!

Although there is no specific Christmas theme for the Disney Illuminations this year, the spectacular projection, celebrating the 25th Anniversary, is still completely spellbinding. The black background of the night makes the display all the more magical. Watch as all the Disney gang are projected onto the façade of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, with music, lights, water and even fireworks.

Seasonal Sing-Alongs

Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights is the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Mickey and Minnie head on stage with an arrangement of gleeful carol singers who perform popular festive songs, with English and French translations, so you can learn the words in a new language! They invite everyone to sing along, too, so don’t be shy. Santa joins them on stage, too, as they could hardly light the tree without him, and they countdown the lighting of the tree together. As the carol singers perform, the lights on the tree change from quaint, glistening fairy lights to giant, glowing ornaments and multi-coloured baubles in accordance with the music.

A Fabulous Frozen Sing-Along takes place at the Chaparral Theatre with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and dancers dressed in traditional Scandinavian attire. Wrap up for this one as, though it’s indoors, the wintry decorations, including snow-covered trees, icicles and frosty mountainside, are sure to make you feel a chill. Sing along to Let It Go, For the First Time in Forever and more. Repeating every half an hour, you can watch the show as many times as you like.

Mickey and pals, dressed head to toe in red and green, invite you to join in with all your favourite Christmas jingles, and some new ones, at Sing Me a Merry Christmas. There’s even a screen showing all the lyrics so there’s no excuse not to sing along. Held at the Production Courtyard Stage in Walt Disney Studios®, you can catch this a few times a day.

Dazzling Disney Dramas

The wonderful and heart-warming performance, A Merry Stitchmas, will be held on the Royal Castle Stage. All of the Disney characters come together in this show to teach Stich, who is dressed up as Santa, the true meaning of Christmas through song and dance.

Mickey’s Big Christmas Band is a brand new, cracking live concert at Videopolis. Mickey and Minnie are accompanied by a joyful jazz band and group of singers who will join in them in belting out all the Christmas classics.

The Enchanted Advent Calendar runs every day from 1 to 25 December at the foot of the Sleeping Beauty Castle with a charismatic display. Information on this event has been kept almost as tightly wrapped as your presents, so you’ll have to get down to Disneyland Paris® yourself if you want to find out more.

Goofys Incredible Christmas is a brand new show taking place at the Hollywood Tower Hotel in Walt Disney Studios®. It’s a striking night time display with lights and special effects. Immerse yourself in the Yuletide spirit as Goofy and a host of live characters tell you a tale and take you on a journey through the North Pole to a super seasonal party.
