10,000 Instagram Followers!

C.F Tiegen, our company’s founder, could not have imagined all those moons ago in 1866 that 151 years later we would have a platform like Instagram that allows us to hear from you on a daily basis and share fantastic photos from all over Europe.

That our Instagram has grown so quickly is really exciting and we couldn’t have done it without all your support. It’s great being able to see your pictures, and we love sharing with you the photos we’ve collected, too.

So, thank you for 10,000 followers, and here’s to 10,000 more!

Let’s take a look at some of the top performing photos that we’ve seen on Instagram:

‘One should never go too long without watching a sunset!’ – Atticus. This beautiful sunset was captured over our ship on a Newcastle – Amsterdam sailing. Over the course of the past year and a half we have been sent and tagged in so many stunning sunsets and sunrises, and we firmly believe some of the best in the world can be found at sea!

We always aim to share some hidden gems across Europe, and this street in Bonn, Germany is definitely one of them!

A firm favourite of our destinations of course is Amsterdam, and the infamous canal network lined with truly unique canal houses never fails to give us some of the most inspirational photography. @Jacob of Beautiful Destinations took this photo that we shared earlier this year.

When it comes to France we love nothing more than seeing some of the smaller cities and towns come to life across our Instagram. Whether that’s the lavender fields in Provence, the market squares of Lille, or the bright colours and timbered houses of Colmar, we share them all!

For chocolate, beers and cobbled streets, it can only be Belgium! Looking like it was taken straight from a storybook this delightful Belgian scene is one we feel completely encompasses all we love about Bruges!

Throughout the summer months when everyone is longing for a good dose of Vitamin Sea, we share some of the most stunning coastal locations for that extra added ‘wanderlust’! The calanques of Southern France proved to be one of our most popular shares last summer!

It’s not just the summer months that draw thousands of people across the seas with us every year, every season has its own unique charm and attraction. This incredible shot of Amsterdam in Autumn was a big hit…

As were the sleepy towns of Germany in winter, especially this one of Bremen!

And finally, our ships and seascapes, like this one by @authenticchica who captured a crisp clear morning over the North Sea!
