Family Fun in Belgium

January 11, 2015

Center Parcs are renowned all across Europe for their family-friendly holiday camps, with their excellent facilities and wonderful locations. Center Parcs have 26 different holiday villages across the UK and Europe, each with its own individual character and merits, set in acres of scenic woodland with modern, stylish accommodation. The parks are well-serviced, with restaurants, bars for your leisure, plus a range of indoor and outdoor activities to keep you entertained throughout your stay.

Belgium has some stunning woodland scenery, so it’s no surprise to find that it has two of its own Center Parcs holiday villages, in De Vossemeren and Erperheide.

De Vossemeren

Located in the Belgian province of Limborg, very close to the Dutch border, De Vossemeren is set among two enormous, crystal-clear lakes which are perfect for water-skiing, wakeboarding and other watersports. The lakes are home to a pirate-themed adventure, the Discovery Bay, where children can attempt to find the ancient pirate treasure lost when a 17th century ship ran aground in a mysterious jungle. If you haven’t quite got your sea legs yet then don’t worry, you can go cycling or hiking in the Sahara of Lommel, relax in one of the spas or even shop in the Market Dome, with food and drink available for visitors.

After all of that, you can get cosy and relax in your modern and comfortable accommodation, ready for your next adventure.

Erperheide

Located slightly south-east of De Vossemeren, Erperheide is a holiday village located right in the heart of nature. The park’s Aqua Mundo is a tropical swimming paradise, complete with palm trees, a subtropical water jungle, water slides and a wave pool!

Kids will love the Baluba Indoor Playworld, with slides, foam shooters and loads of other games to keep them busy and tire them out for the night. Kids can also learn how to become a circus artist or join in on Mission Cool Factor and complete a series of tasks to discover a secret code.

More fearless children will enjoy the Big Swing or the Outdoor High Adventure, which are sure to set pulses racing, but for those a little more keen to keep their feet on the ground, there are plenty of family-friendly activities to get involved with, such as air hockey, family laser battles, badminton and other sports plus much, much more.
